Learningbytes is an educational program at West Valley College that promotes the educational and professional opportunities available in California's digital media/ entertainment industry to high school and middle school students. The concept of Learningbytes is rooted in the belief that if you provide California youth, an increasingly multicultural and economically diverse group, with creative venues from which they can learn and explore technology seeds of success will be planted.

Digital Media and Arts/Entertainment Workshops target middle school and high school students interested in exploring careers in the visual and communication arts. All workshops are free and feature talented professionals who offer practical information, tips, advice with hands on demonstrations, and active participation guaranteed to spark creativity!  

There are many digital media career-oriented activities and events throughout the year including field visits to Silicon Valley companies, and opportunities to team up with professionals and work on student centered projects.
